Common questions
The things people usually want to know before booking an intro call.
What's the difference between a nutritionist, a dietitian, and a health coach?
They're different roles with different training. Tina is a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC). She works with individuals on everyday nutrition, habit change, and lifestyle — helping you build realistic routines, make informed food choices, and stay accountable. She does not diagnose medical conditions or provide medical nutrition therapy. If you have a diagnosed medical condition that requires clinical care, your physician or another qualified healthcare professional can support your medical needs. A diagnosis doesn't mean you can't work with Tina: your physician or qualified healthcare provider can support your medical care, while Tina helps you build sustainable nutrition and lifestyle habits for your personal wellness goals.
Do you offer online coaching or in-person sessions?
Yes! Tina offers online coaching, so you can work with her from wherever you are in Canada. If you're located in the Greater Toronto Area — North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Vaughan or Markham — in-person sessions may also be available. Coaching calls run over video, so the program works the same whether you're down the street or across the country.
How much do your programs cost?
Pricing is shared during your free intro call. Every program is tailored to your goals and how much support you want, so the intro call is where we work out which length actually fits — rather than quoting a number before knowing what you need.
What happens on the free intro call?
It's a relaxed conversation, not a sales pitch. You'll talk through what you're struggling with, what you've already tried, and what you'd like to change. Tina will explain how coaching works and recommend which program fits — including telling you if now isn't the right time. There's no obligation to sign up.
Will I have to follow a strict meal plan or cut out foods I love?
No. Tina's approach is built on balance rather than restriction. You may receive personalized meal plans, but they are designed around foods you already enjoy and a schedule that fits your real life. The goal is to help you build realistic, sustainable habits that support your goals without feeling like you have to completely give up the foods you love.
Which program should I choose — 6 or 12 months, standard or premium?
As a rough guide on length: six months suits deeper habit and lifestyle change, and twelve months suits people who want support through a full year, including maintenance and the transition to managing on their own. On tier: the standard programs run a 45-minute coaching call every other week, while Premium moves to a full hour every week and lets you reach Tina directly by message or email in between. Premium suits you if you know you do better with someone close by than with a check-in every fortnight. If you're unsure, book the intro call; picking the right fit is part of what that conversation is for.
How soon will I see results?
That depends on your starting point, your goal, and how consistently the habits fit into your week — so no honest coach can promise a timeline or a number on the scale. What most people notice first isn't weight: it's steadier energy, fewer cravings, and less mental noise around food. The structural changes follow from consistency over months, which is why the shortest program runs six.
Can you help if I have a medical condition?
Often, yes. Coaching supports general nutrition, habits, and lifestyle — it doesn't replace medical care, diagnosis, or treatment, and Tina works alongside the professionals providing those rather than in place of them. If you're pregnant, taking medication, or managing a diagnosed condition, mention it on your intro call so she can tell you honestly whether coaching is a good fit alongside the care you're already receiving.
